Steamed, Boiled or Baked:

If you decide to have Asparagus, Broccoli, Carrots, Fennel, or Pumpkin, make sure to season it with spices after they are ready. In that way you can save some amount for your dog. Make sure while baking not to be adding any oil since it can be hard for your dog’s pancrease to digest and will upset their tummies.

Meats:

If you decided to bake lamb or turkey, try to give your dog parts that are the least seasoned and baked (normally you can use pieces from the middle, or simply cut off the outer baked part. Cut in small pieces and give together with veggie.

Fresh Veggies and Fruits:

In addition as a treat you can give some apple slices, fresh cucumbers, and small bites of fresh fennel.

A wonderful treat not only for you and your dog, but also for your parrots are of course fresh veggies and fruits. Always remember, that in comparison to dogs, parrots cannot excrete and salts and also spices are deadly toxic for them, so never give seasoned veggies to your parrots. What is very healthy and fun for them to enjoy are the seeds from the bell pepper.

Artichokes:

Artichokes are packed with vitamins and healthy nutrients. They are extremely healthy for us, for dogs, and for parrots. Important is to remember that only Hearts are eatable, the rest shall not be fed to your furry and feathery friends.

You can feed Artichoke hearts raw, steamed, or boiled. Make sure that for your dog you cut it in small pieces in order to avoid chocking. To your parrot you can give them diced so they can really bite on them.

Eggs:

Of course one of the most important attributes of the Easter are wonderful colourful boiled eggs. They can be fed as a treat, or added as a topping on veggies. Make sure that if your dogs have sensitive digestion, or problems with pancreatitis not to feed them the yolk (it can trigger the indigestion and accuse pancreatitis).

Parrots enjoy boiled eggs very much too. You can peel them, cut in 2 half and give them to enjoy.

Hope you and your furry and feathery members will enjoy this tasty Easter treats.
